Chatham's abundant coastline offers excellent striped bass fishing conditions and some of the best striped bass fishing in the world. These spectacular fish grow to a max length of 6 ft and to live for up to 30 years. Striped bass move into the waters surrounding Cape Cod in early June and follow bait fish throughout the Nantucket Sound, Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Cod Bay. Light tackle spinning rods and wire line trolling are the most common methods used to fish for stripers.
